We LOOOVVVEEE Winter here at Squid (for the obvious reason!) but its also the season of extravagant, beautiful style with sumptuous coats, elegant boots and cashmere scarves.

This year is especially gorgeous with varied trends from tartan to forties glamour and from oriental to fetish!

Check out my personal faves from the deliciously wide selection us ladies are treated to this coming season!

Seattle:Hue, Vietnam:Venice:I am a firm believer that cityscapes create the most stunning pictures. In fact, give me a city break over a beach holiday any day! There is nothing more breathtaking than a concrete jungle under a cloak of rain. It need not be beautiful but it certainly gives me pause for thought.

What do you think of these three pouring wet cities around the globe? We have Seattle, Washington (obviously!), Hué, Vietnam and a bit of a beautiful rainy surprise, Venice!

Hosted by Lisa Smosarski, Chief Editor of the GORGEOUS Stylist magazine and joined by an all-women cast of inventors, the event we were at last night really put a lid on the Jimmy Neutrons and Alexander Bells of the genius world!

Sitting (stylishly) on the panel were Sophie Cornish, co-founder of notonthehighstreet.com and Stylist’s business ambassador, Mandy Haberman, inventor of the Anywayup® cup, creator of the Swimovate watch Lisa Irlam and intellectual property rights expert Suzy Schmitz. Intimidating, right?

They were in fact super nice, and approachable, which made them all the more inspiring during question time and some networking. Lots to think about here at the Squid office! As an aside, the champagne was also a pleasant treat! x

Hello All!

A quick note to let you know the Squid team will be at the Autumn Fair International 2011, 4-7 Sept,  at the Birmingham NEC.

Lloyds TSB  asked SquidLondon to front their National Small Business campaign! After a very glamorous photoshoot and lots of “em…maybe I’d look better in side profile?”, we can now be seen on billboards nationally!
